Latin name: Fructus Rosae canina L. (Rosaceae)
 

Description: wild shrub with long, green and brown stems reaching up to 3 m in height. Leaves are glabrous, unpetioled, with 5-7 leaflets with short petioles, elliptic, toothed. Both stem and petiole are covered with spines. The flowers are clustered in groups from 3 to 5, with a baby pink color. The fruit is shiny, bright red, fleshy, with yellowish hard seeds inside.
