Too small, too knobbly, not round: potatoes, as natural products, come in a wide variety of shapes. With our "Mission Potato Rescue," we want to ensure that as many precious potatoes as possible find their way from the producer to our bag of chips. By investing in state-of-the-art production facilities, we can process ever-increasing numbers of potatoes—regardless of shape and size. We also peel the potatoes as sparingly as possible. This is also reflected in the "potato usage factor," which indicates the average potato consumption per kilogram of our chips. Over the past five years, we have succeeded in reducing potato consumption in production by more than 10%.
