Doncafé was born in the last century, in Bari, a small city in Italy, on the Adriatic coast.

On the small streets of the city, where cafes can be seen at every turn, one cafe is very special – the one where Franco di Cosola tried to prepare the perfect espresso.

Franco could be seen blending different varieties of coffee and carefully analyzing how the degree of roasting and grinding influences the taste and body of the coffee. When he felt that he had achieved what he wanted, he opened a small factory and became an espresso maker. Soon, word of his coffee – Doncafé – spread throughout the region.

The family business was discovered by the coffee company Strauss Coffee, which brought the Doncafé brand to Romania. Since then, our products have brought special moments of relaxation, aroma, flavor and joy to the senses in every cup.
